Wow, you're sure asking a lot of questions about the Houston area, aren't you?
There are hundreds of nice hotels in Houston. There are thousands of okay hotels (your average chain). There are also places I wouldn't go unless armed with a howitzer.
Let's see... the Westin Oaks is in the Galleria. Nice, and pricey. The JW Marriott. Same. The Omni. Ditto. Hell, any "nice" hotel is going to be pricey. That depends on your range. My guess is, since you're looking for entry level work in town, that you don't want to spend a few hundred dollars a night to stay in a hotel. Heck, the lowest rate I could find for a nice hotel was $150 a night at the Embassy Suites. If you are moving here looking for work, don't stay there.
How about something more along the lines of a Candlewood Suites for $70 a night, or a Days Inn in west Houston for $40 a night?

Saving your money and staying at a friend's house and letting them fit the bill ..... PRICELESS

OMNI .. that the place to be...might be a bit pricey though... lot of rich people stay there... my company sent me there, and it was pure luxury
