4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

True love is the basis for maternal love. The way a mother may unconditionally love her children is the purest form of love. No love is needed in return; love for the child always exist. This type of love needs to exist for all relationships. Think of your first love or when you first met your current partner. Everything seemed perfect about them! The hardest but most honest way to show someone you love them is to be a strong role model via discipline within your own life. It serves your self however it benifits everyone around you.

true love!!! to begin with I must make the comment that true love is many different things to many different people.
Some people such as myself spend their entire life searching for this illusive prize, without ever really knowing what it is they are looking for. To most it is a feeling of being needed and trusted beyond any degree of doubt. To me it is a combination of many things. An openness and acceptance of your partner. the ability to see beyond yourself and into your significant others desires and needs. the ability to accept that not only is your chosen partner not perfect but neither are you, and you cannot and will not always agree on everything. with this knowledge comes the ability to communicate and resolve those differences.
I am aware that what I have described is very difficult to achieve, and therefore I personally have never felt what I believe is true love.

True love: Loving someone for who they are, not who you need them to be. Someone that loves who I am and is not threatened by differences and does not need to change me is a loving person.

When you have true love you will know it. It's a feeling that you get when it is right. No one can tell you that you've got it. There's no judging to it. You'll say over and over to yourself and maybe out loud, "I found it. I've got it." You'll know without a doubt. You'll keep it, if you treat it right.

This will probably look a little stupid in print, but when you look at your partner, but they're not looking at you, and they're doing something insignificant, like eating, reading, crossword puzzle, cooking, etc, and you get a warm feeling and a little smile just from watching them, you know you really love them.

Loving me? When they do little things to brighten my day, or they let me be me, but I've been single a long time so.......

True love happens when your genes have discovered another set of genes that are perfectly fit for keeping your own genes alive, with as little altering as possible.

Strange behaviour ;-)

I like your question.
True love is when two persons (male and female) be very good friends and like their partner the way they are. They don't use their partner just for sex and to enjoy them selfs.
