The answer is very simple; everybody in the Middle East hates USA because they are Christian and they as Muslims oppose the religion. Israel on the other hand is considered the birth place of Christianity and they are not opposed to it, besides more than 90% of the population have European and some American roots through repatriation.
The above is the history. . .There are many treaties between the two countries and an immense amount of trade and technology is being exchanged. Additionally think of it as being an aircraft carrier in a very rough sea.

The US kowtows to israel because the media is predominiately owned and operated by jews and because of jewish/zionist mega-PACs like AIPAC that can use their money/media influence to destroy ANY politician's career overnight.
Every year AIPAC holds a week long conference in DC and every year the President, key cabinet members, ALL of the Senate and a majority of the House members make the pilgrimage to bow, scrape, and kow-tow. AIPAC even brags about it.
Even obama had to get kosher certification before he dared to put his name in the running.

Because they are the only free country in the Middle East. Despite what the media says hey are moderate you cannot say this about many other countries except maybe Turkey. Many who claim to be en-lighted progressives harbor a secret fear of Jew's which manifests itself as racism. Much of this fear has to do with a fear of people who are religious and have a deep belief. Israel has fundamentalist Jew's and American fundamentalist Christians support them therefore Israel is evil in their eye's. Israel is very stable and does what is says it will do and is very fare to citizens who are not Jewish.
