Not true, unless you show a loss for the business. If the station is poorly run, that may very well happen.

Sounds like urban legend to me and I think I heard it once by some fool who was all worked up that a Pakistani guy bought a motel in our town. I work in county government and we have had people, relatively new to the US, open up businesses and they pay the same taxes as everyone else...and helped the business community out as well. Yeah, its great if you can get someone who will come to the US to work and live the dream, and not so great if people come to park on the social service benefits and vegetate. We have had some of that too.

I don't know for sure, but I have heard that the gov gives you seven years tax free to establish your self in this country. Stupid If you ask me.
