what does this mean in philosophy

It means a few things.

1.) You seem to have forgetten that a cat has 9 lives.
2.) Cats rarely have enough of an attention span to be curious 9 times.
3.) You have wasted 5 points.
4.) I have wasted 5 minutes.
5.) I have also wasted 5 points.

That is exactly why they have nine lives! They are rewarded for their curiosity. Also seen as stupidity!

When it's applied to people though I think it means keep your nose out of other peoples business if you know what's good for you.

Maybe they didn't feel the need to elaborate further, or that it would be over kill to tell you he was killed 9 times......all related to his curiousity.
