yes she will and so will you for the firsdt time, it will be amazing to hear, it'll prob. make you cry, comgrats and enjoy the wonderful experience of being pregnant/ mommy.

I am also 17 weeks pregnant. I had a Dr. appointment last week and we heard the baby's heart beat. It took a while to find it but we did. If your midwife has one of those doppler machines made specially to hear and measure the fetal heartbeat than you should have no problem hearing it.

Am 9 weeks pregnant had my first visit last saturday on the 24th feb and i heard my babys heartbeat already! So if your 17 weeks i think you will also hear him laughing lol!

generally midwifes dont listen to the heartbeat until after 15 weeks - so they should definetly be able to hear ir today

I was 14week when doctor checked the heart beats of my baby and she had put it on the speaker so we could hear it too.
In case ur midwife cant then u know what to do.....get somebody else to check it for u.

She should be able to hear the heartbeat, but that's if Baby will cooperate and not move all over the place. GOOD LUCK!!!

Don't remember with my first my with this one i heard a heart beat at 11 weeks. I think on most cases 16 weeks is when they say you should hear it. You only have 4 weeks till you can find out the sex with a good ultrasound tech. happy listening.

yes, you normally hear the heart beat at 10 to 12 wks along. Have fun and enjoy the moment.

Yes! I got to hear my babies heart beat around 15 wks..I was so happy that I cried. Hearing your babies heart beat is a great feeling. I always love hearing when women get to hear it...it always gives you that small relief. :)

Possibly, but don't be too concerned if she can't - it is still fairly early days and it depends on the baby's positioning.
