We stayed on an old farm and when we moved there, there were about 4 chickens dotting about the outbuildings. Unfortunately, a fox killed them all (then sat in our garden barking), but they were great fun to have around - all had fantastic personalities and would also eat out of your hand. :-)

No, they were great fun - we used to keep their feed just inside the front door so in the mornings they would try and scamper in when we left for work. They would also run after us and speak to us as well! We would be in the courtyard doing something and they would come along and keep us company lol.

I love chickens. As kids we used to go to a farm with school and feed them and chase them around the chicken run (when no one was looking). I think they are fab!!!

Nope, give me ducks anytime. Chickens are nasty to each other, incredibly stupid (any other animal would get used to someone coming in everyday to look for eggs or feed them, but they still scatter and panic) and I have to disagree and say that in my opinion they don't have personalities. Or if they do, they are boring personalities. That's why I don't mind esting chicken!
Maybe Ive just experienced "bad" chickens or something, but don't even get me started on Bantams or Roosters....

I love chickens they are funny little creatures always pecking on the floor even when theres nothing there and they also give you eggs which i love,,, egg an soldiers love that when i'm not feeling to well...

We have a bunch that used to run around here, but we had fox issues too. We still have chickens, but they are now confined to indoors, for their safety.

ok i'm dense what does ace mean? i like chickens i had one as a child, i grew up on a farm. but you have to put them in a coop at night to prevent foxes and racoons from killing them. they are also mighty tasty!

Chickens are cool and should be able to roam about outside and not be stuck in barns or other buildings.
