Why dont we stand up be heard all at one time why dont we all walk out for a day and have goverment take a reality check and fix what is wrong with this country and take control of what needs to be done instead of just taking it up the pipe and letting it go on. why dont we unite as our fore fathers did and make demands in numbers to cut the bull out of the system and make real change like iraq and welfare and min wage and get a lobbist to rep the people not the politician, will it work dont know you tell me can we do it? yes we can Will we do it Tell me

Our government is mired in self interest and survival. Our politicians rush to do something in their final term year so they can show their constituents that they are worthy to be reelected.

It is all about MONEY!!!

We can condemn a country and still do trade with them.

As you can see with the present administration the people are not heard. Pole after pole reveals what the country wants our government to do and it is not being done.

Our country is being sold out. Our country is on the auction block because we are in such debt to other nations. China is one of the biggest.

Dec. 23, 1913 Congress gave our finances to the banking industry when it was plain to see that our Constitution gave only Congress the power to "coin and value" our monetary system.

The Federal Reserve is neither "federal" nor a reserve. The word "federal" was used to dupe the country into thinking it was part of our government when in reality it was the banking industry. The IRS is not government. They are the collection agent for the Federal Reserve.

Bank credit cards of which we cannot do without anymore are an example of how money is CREATED. This is not money in circulation, this is created by the banking industry not by our
government. And usury interest by its very nature is illegal.

Nothing short of a revolution is going to change things in Washington.

Most Americans Live in the world that the government has put there before them..Some of us have slipped back into the matrix..Two many people are afraid--yes afraid to say,do or get involved in anything.Oh no we don't want to fight,,,,Might break a fingernail. If I take time to get involved,I might not have time to work overtime for the next 4 weeks so I can buy that new boat I want. Its not my problem,I don't live in that town...( Not speaking for everyone) It just seems to me that people are to sedate and stupid,I think a lot are even blind to whats going on in the world today.Or they think someone else will do it..But they all think that way,so no one is doing anything...We will all wake up some morning with big brother leg trackers on our ankles and we will be scratching our heads as to why...Where are all the Protesters from the 60's and 70's? The dope's still here, and they take the chance to be thrown in jail to smoke it...But they want take the stand to try to stop the madness of America..

I do believe that we as citizens of the united States should stand up against injustice when we find it. People did this in the midterm which became a referendum against the Republican Party and how out of touch they are with their base. However, your statement is too broad in nature because it assumes we all agree on what the problems are. We don't! Further how will a walk out hurt the government? The government would actually like it if we were less involved granting them power to do whatever they wish without interference. A walk out would only hurt the economy which would have a negative effect on the American people in general. If you believe there are problems then identify them and attempt to unite people in protest against those issues. I agree with another poster who states that we need term limits. Turnovers in government will be a positive step. Get rid of the lifers who have become interested only in maintaining and increasing their power. Replace them with people who will have limited amounts of time to work and will thus be more agenda driven and less self serving.

There is a way to do it...we call them 'elections'.
The thing of it is, our priorities , wants and needs change...
when we were all for the war, Bush was the best choice. The moment things become difficult, we want pacifists running the show.
Minimum wage?
Fact is the only effect it has is that the pizza delivery guy can buy an extra pack of smokes (and the government can - yet again - raise taxes on those smokes.
Welfare...most Americans would like it abolished totally - that seems to run contrary to YOUR position. So should we have a democracy (as we do) or simply do everything that YOU want?
I can only surmise that you are very VERY young.
How sweet.

cuz we all have different ideas of whats right and wrong. I think that this war is stupid and pointless, that he was going back to finish daddy's job, while my boss loves the man and tells me that he's doin a great job (ha ha ha) i think that they need to put more effort into getting murderers and rapists off the streets than worrying about the people who have a lil bit of weed for personal use. Then someone else thinks that they are just as bad as the murderers. This would be a hard thing cuz once everyone got together they would then fight as to whats right and what is wrong in their opinion. but the idea would be great if we all thought the same. Very good theory.

We did that in the Midterm elections of 2006.

But your point is well-taken.

Perhaps the proper question could be made a bit more specific: "Why dont Americans Stand Up and Demand Term Limits for Legislators?

That would be a good first step to forcing the "goverment (to) take a reality check"

Will never happen.
Not while a good percentage of Americans are 'hypnotised' into believing everything is 'just fine and we are all prospering' by the
idiots at Fox News and Larry Kudlow at CNBC.
