You shouldn't diet when you are pregnant. Just watch what you are eating. Watch your salt intake too, that can cause water retention and raise your blood pressure. If there was a weight problem you OB would tell you. Enjoy your pregnancy don't worry about the weight.

Talk to your OB. You can lose weight while pregnant, but you should be fine My last OB appointment i weighed 91.7 kg and the OB was glad i had put on weight. It is always case by case. You may still be advised to gain but it won't be as much as a thinner person. Not saying your fat but i know from experince. This is kid 3. With Child 1 i gained 83lbs(don;t know the kg factor there), but alot was water weight. With number 2 i was still 40 lbs over prepregnancy weight so i only ended up having a gain of 6lbs (note I lost weight for the first 7 months). but i was monitored. I've gained 3 kg and i'm at about 22 weeks now. Towards the end you want to gain about .5 kg a week i think.
Anyways past all the rambling Talk to your OB.

Weight gain in a pregnancy depends on your body before you got pregnant. Ask your doctor how much you should gain, but don't diet and just eat healthy. Make sure you cut out the salt intake. Salt makes you swell and hold water. Alot of weight gain comes from to much water that your body won't let go of. Remember you might be eating for two now,but you don't literally have to eat as much as two people..the baby gets all the nutrients from you and vitamins. If your hunger is very strong then snack on veggies and fruit. Oh yea you can splurge with those cravings every once in a while just don't over do it...if you didn't have cravings then it would be a dull pregnancy..lol.

You really can't reduce it, it's not healthy for the baby. The only thing really is to try to eat better foods and exercize. I know how you feel.....I'm about the same time along as you and I have gained an average of 1 lb a week (for some reason 2 lbs a week this month) and I can't figure out what is causing it. Sometimes it just happens.

A healthy diet is crucial to having a healthy pregnancy. Good nutrition is essential to ensuring that you can give the unborn baby the nourishment she or he requires to develop and grow.
Energy requirement varies among individuals. Unfortunately, pregnancy is not the ice-cream-free-for-all as we would like it to be. It is generally recommended that pregnant women increase their daily intake by 100kcal in the first trimester and 300kcal in the second and third trimester. For instance, an extra snack before bedtime consisting of a fruit, a serving of milk or yogurt and a few biscuits is often enough. A daily prenatal multivitamin supplement is often recommended during pregnancy.
Caffeine: some authorities suggest to limit coffee to 3 - 4 small cups a day; some such as the US Department of Health suggests to avoid it completely.
Seafood: Avoid high-mercury fish such as Shark, Swordfish, King Mackerel and Tilefish. Also limit fish intake to no more than 2 servings per week.
congratulation.
cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't eat anything that is unhealthy. Think: wasted calories. You do not want to LOSE weight when pregnant. Your baby needs food, but GOOD food. So eat lots of veggies, fruit. Trying to lose weight while pregnant, is like saying you want to starve your child.
If you eat clean, just good food, then you will put on the weight anyone would while pregnant. Then diet AFTER the baby. You will have less to lose because you didn't fall into the trap of thinking being preggo gives you a pass to eat anything you want. Keep it healthy.

Don't worry about losing weight while you're pregnant. You can hurt the baby by losing weight now. Wait until the baby is born and start losing weight then. As long as you are maintaining a healthy weight gain during pregnancy, you are fine. The weight will come off later, trust me.

At this point in the pregnancy you don't want to worry about weight, but health. Make sure you are eating a well-balanced diet, high is vegetables and fruits, dairy, and whole grains. If you do not feel healthy look into light exercises, walking is a great way to help you feel healthy. But don't push yourself to extremes, this can cause major damage.
Good luck! and don't worry about the weight, worry about your health and the health of your growing baby.

You cannot lose weight while pregnant. In order for you to lose weight, you have to use more calories than you are taking in. Well, if you do that there will be no calories left for the baby. Jut wait until after the baby is born, and focus on getting your body into shape then, not now.

It is not safe to diet or try to reduce weight while pregnant...eat healthy and walk daily ... lose the weight after you have delivered a healthy baby. Congratulations & good luck for a healthy pregnancy and delivery.
