I have been bullied before. I believe that no matter was laws are placed to stop bullying at schools or in society in general it will still continue, it may not be as severe or regular but it will happen. And NO bullying doesn't stop once you graduate, it will still continue on in the workforce and in life in general. Although I am still in high school (but am graduating next year) I have worked jobs and talked to my firends, family and adults about thier jobs, and they too are criticised and bullied by many for many things. The best thing for bullying is to ignore them; as hard as it may be, but if you ignore them they will get bored and will go and annoiy someone else cos' what the bullies really enjoy and want is a reaction. as they then know that they have gotten to you. Just pretend that they don't even exist if you want; it may make ignoring them easier. But always remember what goes around comes around, if they mistreat you and bully you in time it may be ten years or more but it will happen, one day they will be mistreated and bullied by someone and they will go "oh I don't like to be treated this way" and stop. Don't forget also that people who are bullies must be really miserbale about their life and themselves to have to make everyone else feel like dirt. And that no matter what they say, you are a very special person.
hope this helps

Well bullying will never be stopped, and any kind of plan from the govt. to prevent it is just a waste of taxpayers money. Kids that bully are the result of families that did not provide emotional support or suffer from insecurity in some way. Bullies might have learned from a parent who abused them or some other family member in some way, and bullying another is just their way of releasing their pent up emotions. Bullying can also be natural, as some bully others because it makes them feel more powerful than ones who are weaker. Bullying can definately occur in the professional world, just take popular TV shows for example, like American IDOL and The Apprentice. The stars of the show and viewers get a kick out of making fun of the weaker ones and humuliating them by pointing out their flaws or firing them. We see this on TV so the public will take this as the norm and it feeds down to our children that it is okay to make fun of the weak. So no matter what you try to do to prevent it bullying will always happen, no matter what age you are.

I believe our society has tolerated bullies for a long time. I suppose that bullies are viewed as manly by themselves and some others. You see them everywhere after they leave the school ground. I have always been a loner and simply can't stand bullies and cannot tolerate them. They only mess with me once! I fight.
I have always viewed others as they are and there are some people who feel that for some reason, the world owes them respect and dignity while presenting an acrid offensive persona. I don't! I was once a bartender and bullies would often come in my place and try to pick a fight with my regulars and they got the message fast; no tolerance for that stuff in my place!
Thanks for letting me vent!

there shouldn't be laws for bullying unless someone is seriously injured. parents need to teach their kids to stand up to people instead of running home to mommy or running to the principal all the time.
