Old question that I have heard alot on television programs:

If your life depended on having an operation performed on you, which surgeon would you chose to do the work: a white male or a black male?

Both graduated at the top of their class, same age, graduated the same year, both have years of successful experience in the surgery at hand, both are available to do the surgery and both are all around nice people and everything about them is the same except their skin tone.

Having worked in health care for 35 years I have seen both races work and either one could do the treatment needed.
Also what hospital and insurance plan you use.

I would choose the one who had the most sleep in the past 24 hours, i think thats more important than their skin colour! The one who is more enthusiastic and bright eyed.

They are both qualified, why should i care about the color of their skin? Why is this so important to ask?
