I was looking at different degrees and came accross "Assosiates" and "Bachelors" degree. What is the main difference? is one harder than the other or must I have studied in college before hand to get in to one of the 2?

An Associates Degree is just a basic college degree that you can get in 2 years. A Bachelors Degree is over an Associates Degrees and it takes you at least 2 more years after you get your Associates Degree. A Bachelors degree is more specific to a major like Business or Electrical Engineering. A Masters Degree is over the Bachelors Degree and takes at least another 2 more years after you get your Bachelors and it is even more specific and advanced in your field of study. Then you have your PhD which varies in the time after you get your Masters depending on which field of study you have picked.

An associates degree, is pretty basic, and not really logical. It typically takes 2 years, but one advantage is you can get an associates degree at most community colleges. For a bachelors degree you will need to be accepted to a 4 year university, and with anything above that you will need to be accepted to graduate school after you get your bachelors degree. I know most masters degrees are recieved typically within two years after your bachelors, Im not too sure how long a doctorate takes. I would say the bare minimum degree you should get is a bachelors. I think someone said in a previous answer, you need your associates degree before your bachelors, that is not true. They are 2 separate programs. As for your second question, you dont need to be in college before either, you simply start in either one of them, its your choice, and then you will be given options of courses to take, as well as some manditory ones to get your degree. One more word of advise, an associates degree is basically useless, unless you have a lot of experience in the field you want to pursue, and if you want any type of well paying professional job, most companies require a bachelors. I hope this helps you with your decision.

The standard 4 year post High school program is to a Bachelors degree. the Associates degree I believe is more tailored to a specific career choice, and varies in length and strength. Either, I believe is immediately following High school. (No pre-requisites)

Assosiates degree is a one year. And Bachelors is two years. Masters is four years. And if you want to be a docter or what not, I believe it is eight years.
