Think my size may have changed. Apparently M&S are not a good place to go, they were on Watchdog. I need someplace that won't be too expensive though, as no doubt they'll talk me into buying loads! Is La Senza any good?

Hi Princess!
M&S will give you the wrong size. They told me I was a 36B but infact I'm a 34D - amazing isn't it! :)
Go to La Senza or La Perla if you have one - they always have a coupon discount system or something like that.
Only buy what you feel comfortable with.
Most of the time I buy one black, one white and one neutral coloured bra and see how I get on, I find that the white is of worse quality than the other colours - the back one lasts the longest always!
Once you've found your size then go to M&S if you want later to pick up anything pretty. :)
Be careful though - the panties in the sets are always dead expensive, don't be pressured into buying them unless they're gorgeous! You can find knickers/thongs anywhere of any colour/design! xxxx

I suggest somewhere where they don't just get a tape measure out, instead they look and test different bras. Different shops have different sizes, and a good measurer will check lots of sizes to see if they fit, rather than throw 8 bras of the same "measured" size at you which will invariably be different fits. The bras that fit should then give you a good idea of what sizes to look for in other shops; size may vary according to style of bra. I didn't find M&S very good, but this may vary in other cities. Bravissimo tend to be quite good, but cater for larger sizes, and many department stores have good services and a good range. La Senza are good for their own underwear, but I've heard reports that sizes do vary compared to most other places (although this is true of many particular brands).

I find that M&S are very good for bra measuring regardless of the watchdog stuff! La Senza are also good, but remember that you may have to vary the size that you buy in different shops as they all vary.

it is easy to do yourself!

How to measure yourself for Next bras

It is important to measure yourself regularly, remembering that your bra size can alter due to exercise, diet or pregnancy.

Bra Size (underbust)
Measuring in centimetres place the tape measure around your rib cage immediately under the bust. The tape should be held firmly, but not tightly so that you can breathe easily - see table below.

Cup Size (full bust)
Measure the bust at the fullest part in centimetres. Use the chart as a guideline. If you fall between the sizes always go by your bra size (underbust measurement) and try either side for cup size - see table below.

Underbust measurement (cm) 68 to 72
73 to 77
78 to 82
83 to 87
88 to 92

Bra size (inches) 32 34 36 38 40
Cup size (cm) 82-84=A
84-86=B
86-88=C
88-90=D 86-89=A

I would recommend Debenhams or Marks & Spencers - don't believe everything you hear on the news. La Senza bras are small sized. I am a cup bigger in La Senza than in most other stores - has anyone else noticed this?

Get measured at Rigby and Peller, make a note of your size, then go to La Senza. Don't forget that different makes can be slightly different sizes! Good luck!

I accompanied my GF to Le Senza and she and I were very satisfied. She was also advised to go to La Perla, but did not bother.

All the best!/
