Whatever you eat and if you are not breastfeeding still then WHOLE milk. Some say limit spices but my two did fine with everything i feed them. OH, NO HONEY till three. they could get really really sick.
just cut up things really small and serve a few pieces at a time. (a tbsp is a serving size to them)
Good bye baby food :D
Other foods to avoid, i keep remembering them:
Hard candy
peanuts
whole grapes
popcorn
whole hot dogs
(a commercial just came on about the choking hazards of these foods)

I had this same question! My doctor suggest that I feed my 14 month old son what I eat, He said "through a bit of what you are going to eat in a food processor." He added that he hopes I am eating lots of vegetables and fruits.
My son really likes bananas and grapes (cut into quarters), he likes tomatos and steamed vegetables. he loves bread, mostly because he can feed himself that. always go for whole grain so there is some nutritional value in it. He likes pasta, and most soups.

Hi, u can give ur baby a rich nutrient food that contains all vitamins and proteins..
i will suggest you to give her atlest once a day as follows:

2. 10gms Pulse(Thoor dhal)
3. 1 Carrot
4. 1Tomato
5. 3 Pepper
6. half a piece of Garlic

8. 1Curry leaf
Please do boil all these together and make it grind to a semi solid state that can be easily digestible by the baby accordint to the condition of its health..
Give it after a warm bath and then after one hour give a cup of hot milk or any health drink suggested by the family doctor.

You can feed your baby what your eating, but expect to see gagging if the food is too thick or lumpy, gradually as your boy becomes used to the texture/thickness of his food, make it thicker again. He'll gradually get used to normal solids without it having to be pureed. Avoid nuts and whole grapes until he's older. Also wise to take the skin off of cheerios/frankfirts until he's older. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Do you mean a 14 month old? You can give them pretty much whatever you eat, just make it bite sized and easy for them to pick up. Just watch the child doesn't stuff it's mouth and choke. I used to just give a few pieces at a time.

My daughter is the same age and she would never eat baby food so she eats whatever I do. I let her eat right out of my plate. The only foods that she doesnt get is something that might choke her like nuts, or hotdogs, or hard candy. She loves mashed potatoes, beans, peas, soups, and all of the chef bardee foods ( ravioli, spagetti)

Stay away from hot dogs, tough meets, carrots, nuts, and other things that they could choke on. Avoid peanut butter and honey and things that they could be allergic to. Other than that they can eat anything that you do.
