Do you watch Tom & Jerry? then u shud have seen the one in which they were fighting over a beautiful female cat, they are boys thats why they are soo messy & naughty. Haven't I answered your question yet? OK then, they are straight up Males.

They're both males.
Both names Tom and Jerry are first and foremost male names.
And, although their genders are given away explicitly in the show, I remember story arcs in which both were smitten with female cats and female mice, respectively. I doubt Warner Bros was prepared to tackle homosexuality head-on (although that doesn't explain Bugs Bunny's sexual ambiguity!)

Hmm... well, technically they are male. But Tom told Jerry that he's a transexual, so Jerry persuaded Tom to go through with the 'surgery'. They haven't got quite there yet though, 'cause Jerry thinks he's turning transexual too, but he doesn't want to, so he's completely blanking Tom, so Tom's not sure what to do anymore.
^^ True story ;]

Tom, as in tomcat is a male. Tomcats are males. Jerry is the masculine spelling...Gerry is feminine. So, Jerry the mouse is also male.
