Yahoo limits e-mail to prevent spamming. You can still e-mail 25 to 50 recepients at a time.

The messages you can send to Y! users in the site are limited, not like the ones you can send if you actually have someone's email address. I guess it could be to prevent people from harassing other users. Or you can harass them to a limited extent lol.
