Good question...I came to London in February 1997 (from Italy)...so that would make it exactly 10 years in Britain!!!
I don't feel British though...still Italian...

not by heart & never will..where you grew up will always come back & haunt you for abandoning it.. well if you're married to A brit,takes about 2 years to get a proper resident's visa 9testing the realtionship bullshit the government thinks) & after that takes about 5 years in total that you have lived here then after you can apply for brit citizenship..but what's the point really? i'd rather go for a dual

if you want to be, you can be british the second you move here. though some people can live their whole lives there and never be. its however you feel. a dog born in a stable doesnt make it a horse.

Just like in any country, you need to apply for citizenship.
You need to live in England for five years to apply for citizenship. Three years if you are married.
