It's possible your baby has "dropped", getting ready for birth. Shouldn't be long now!

It is normal, and there is no need to worry now. At 36 weeks your baby is considered full-term, so you don't need to worry about having the baby too early.

I didn't have contractions until I was on pitocin for hours, but I did have alot of pain in my pelvic/ hip area. My body was getting ready. Your bones are softening, so you can get the baby out, and the softening bones can cause pain.

getting ready for birth. totally normal.

with my third baby, I didn't feel contractions until the very last minute. I felt lower back pain and just felt "funny". I can't explain it. then all of a sudden I felt the worst contraction ever! and 5mins later, my water broke!

Congrats!! It's almost time!

This is all completely normal. What is happening is your baby is settling into your pelvis. He/she is getting ready to make a grand entrance!!! It won't be long now. Get some rest and spend your last couple of weeks preparing for baby. Congrats and good luck.
