Talk to your scheduling person at the high school and see if there's anything you can do. You're parents really shouldn't be forcing you to do anything you don't want to and that applies to things like band too.

I'd say just talk to them and tell them that you don't like the class and that you'd be more interested in taking a different elective next year. By now it's probably too late to drop the class for a study hall and it must be way too late to switch to another class. If your parents still make you take the class then have them come in and talk to your guidance counselor at school about the situation.

I read recently that music classes help develop math skills, language skills and children that have them have higher SAT and other test scores. I would finish out this year if I were you, maybe change instruments etc. However, I think there is something else bothering you. Maybe the band nerd thing or something like that. I would talk to my parents and tell them the truth why you hate band class, but do it calmly and rationally. Just maybe they will come over to your side.

in case you do unlike taking part in the trumpet or the different insturment and you're basically in band classification bcuz of your human beings then you definately could desire to drop out. you could carry out including your human beings at different circumstances like lunch or after skool or on the weekends. that's a waste of money for no reason in case you do no longer likely like it. It additionally takes alot of dedication so think of roughly it a sprint longer ....that F will harm your over all grades so it could be greater advantageous to easily drop the class

de-select that class for next year. your parent's won't always be there to make your decisions. It's time to start making some on your own. choose wisely and a thought. You choose to hate band class. Could you choose to embrace it for what it is?? Could band get you a scholarship to college, even if you are a marginal player.?

If ur not happy with what ur doing, its pointless doing it. I guess ur parents have their reasons for making u join it. Have a good talk with them & let them know how unhappy you are. Maybe u could switch to something else, something ur interested in. Your parents should support u in any decision u make. I dont think they'd want to see u unhappy :)
