Racism, Bigotry, Homophobia, Xenophobia, Intolerance, Oppression, and Extremism all have thrived throughout history. When one form of hate seems to slowly end in a region or country it is usually replaced by another form of hate.Is this because society needs to have something to hate?
Also, just so that people don't try to take from my list of types of hate because the word "phobia" is rooted in the wording, the following two words: Xenophobia and homophobia are defined by Webster's dictionary as:
ho·mo·pho·bia
noun
irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals
xe·no·pho·bia
noun
fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners or of anything that is strange or foreign
As you can see, hate and/or the act of hate is found in the meanings of both words and so both words are valid to this question.
Can society live without hate?

godsofmarsrblpriest,
First, you seem to have strayed away from the central question and focused more on homophobia and homosexuality.Second, you made typical religious excuses to condone your extreme dislike (hate).Third, you made radical accusations of homosexuals and homosexuality without a shred of viable and un-bias proof. Finally, since you decided to stray from my question I will address one thing to you on your answer, if you can call it an answer to the actual question, if gays are more likely to get AIDS and gays have it more then straights does that mean that Africa has the largest gay population on Earth since Africa has the largest amount of AIDS cases?
