That depends on the kind of work and how you define working.
In a manual workplace, the operators are on their toes hard at work pretty much all the time (90%) or else production stops. On the other and executives spend maybe 20% of their work day actually working but another 70% planning, discussing and attending meetings. Then there are the bosses who spend very little time working but use the majority of his time (including non-working hours) worrying how to pay the rest of the staff (that's why they have to play golf to release their tensions!). ;-)

Not much. I work 8-5 M-F, but I'm a receptionist, so I really only work when the phone rings, the mail comes, or someone walks in the door (which isn't often!). I spend the rest of the day online.

I'm self employed - so obviously I can't remember the last time I did anything other than work :-) although there was New Year when I think I had three days off on a row...a bit of a blur now... and then!!!

House-wife or as i would prefer to be called, Home administrator. Work 24 hours a day, jump onto computer as soon as hubby leaves for work and play away, as soon as he gets back work again, huge sighs every now and again to impress on him just how hard i have been working. Does that count? :))))

What is this work thing that you are referring too? Seriously, anywhere from 8-18 hours at a time.
