FYI to the other answerers: a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is an X-ray test that examines the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes and the surrounding area looking for blockages or other abnormalities.

As far as price though, I don't know...I guess you'll have to call the place where you would have it done and ask.

It depends if your insurance will pay or not. My insurance won't pay for any fertility related treatment, so I researched how much in my area and it was 1500 for a hysterosalpingogram (HSG). I ended up getting pregnant before we were going to have this test done so that was extremely lucky. The test check to see if everything is open.

Good luck because even my dr. said that in a lot of cases you can be more fertile right after this.

An x-ray shows bones and other hard tissue? In my experience you would need an ultrasound scan to show the fallopian tubes. I have no idea of the cost for private treatment. If you have a prob, can you not be referred by your GP to a hosp?

An x-ray isn't go to show up your fallopian tubes.

you need a lap and dye test where they insert dye and scan your tummy and see if the dye goes right the way through the tubes
and they watch it on the screen.

if your in the uk it's aviable for free when they start doing the fertilly tests thats how i got mine done.

however i guess you could go to the doctor and they would be able to advise you further as i think you need might need to get refered to see privately (although i'm not 100% sure)
