Only in the democratic party.

No. There is no woman or African American running for the GOP nomination. The Democrats may nominate an African American or a woman. But whomever their nominee is they will go up against a white male.

So the correct answer is the choice will be between a white male and either a white male, white female, African-American male or Latin male (Bill Richardson).

Thanks for the points.

No, because only one of these candidates can run for president. You heard of the primaries? A primary is when voter's decide which candidate they think will have the best chance of being elected to the White House. The Republicans will probably choose between Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain, so my best guess is the next presidential race will be between either of those 2 Republicans, and Billery Clinton.

As an Australian, and have absolutly nothing to do with US politics, I am going to take a wild guess and say that Hilary will be the next prez!! After all the powers that be have been getting the public used to the idea of a woman prez, with TV shows staring movie stars, and talk shows going on and on about it, it is bound to happen sooner or later!!!

Maybe but it's still early. Obama or Hillary may win the Democratic nomination but then he/she will have to run against a Republican candidate who will most likely be a white male.

Or neither Obama nor Hillary wins the Democratic nomination and someone like John Edwards does then even the Dem. candidate is also a white male.

Then, we'll be back to the old way: a choice between two rich, white guys! (Are you sorry you asked?)

How is this going to be "the" choice? There are still 20 months to go and there are already a dozen other qualified candidates in the running. Almost all of them have less baggage than Hillary and more experience than the black guy.

If anything, voting for either of them purely for their race or gender is about as idiotic as NOT voting for them purely because of their race or gender. What's the difference?

No. Actually that will most likely be the choice for the Democratic candidate: B. Obama or H. Clinton. They will run against each other, then the winner of that (primary election) will run against the Republican candidate in the Presidential election. (The Republican will most likely be a white male conservative.) But lets hope Obama or Clinton wins!

Possibly -- if Obama snags the Democrat nominations and the Republicans draft Condoleeza Rice .... But if the current pool of candidates on the Republican side remains viable then the Republicans will stick to that winning American formula; a rich white male.

Peace....

Their are no African -American or women candidates on the republican ticket this coming election so I would have to say no.

Can you say Rudy? You will be for at least four years.
