Stories play crucial role as messages senders to our brains -- enable us to imagine things and even take us far away from the place we've been. By the way, it depends on how good the plots are, how perfect the finish or the end of a story would be, and so forth. Boring stories are basically caused by flat, boring introductions, which at the meantime give the general overview of the whole story, instead of emphasising the ideas and main points.

To put it simple, yes ~ stories are undeniably important. As if a film starred by famous, gorgeous actors, it will be useless too when the story isn't interesting.

The story is the creative place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover will be yourself and knowledge of the world and it's colourful cultures.
