Hello friend,

Eventhough your suggestion sounds nice, just gave it a deeper thought, and found that it should not be so.

The reasons are as follows :
1. Who will decide which is the best syllabus for the entire country?
(Not these present day petty politicians who bring in regionalism in every thing that they do or talk)

2. If a parent or a student finds that such a common curriculam does not suit him/her, there should be another system available. Now you have ICSE, Anglo_Indian, Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and so on......

3. Now with more and more privatisation coming into education field, the choice of syllabus will be decided and "MARKETED" by them. (After all educational institutions are just another business house)

So, now you can decide for yourself, whether a common system is necessary or not.

NOT POSSIBLE SINCE EDUCATION IS A SUBJECT IN THE CONCURRENT LIST OF THE CONSTITUTION AND THE STATES HAVE TO AGREE. THE BACKWARD STATES DO NOT WANT THE UNIFORM STANDARDS TO MAKE THEIR STUDENTS FAIL .
