You will need a copy of the file(s) that make up your web site.
You will need a program to edit the file(s) either in a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) mode like a word processor (FrontPage Express is an example) or a text editor that allows you to edit the HTML code while enforcing syntax (CuteHTML does this) but you look at the result in your browser(s). FrontPage Express does both but costs more. Depending on where your page is, you may be allowed or be forced to do online editing.
You will need a program to upload the results if you edit offline. This is done with ftp normally and CuteFTP is a widely used low cost program for up and down loading images and pages.
You will need the access name and password to put the files up.

If your web site is a static web site ; that pages don't load data from DB or something else , you will need to open the HTML source of your pages in any design tool like dreamweaver or frontpage and make the changes.
If your web site is a dynamic web site ; that load data dynamic that depend on admintrattion section, sooo you need to take a tour in the administration tool from the web site developer who made that.
May if you tell us the target of the web site or its URL you can find more help.
