How do you go for interviews if you're working full time? How do you keep it a secret from your current employer that you're looking? What do you do for work references if you don't want to let it be known that you are trying to leave?

Arrange for interviews on off days, weekends or after office hours. If that is not possible apply for leave.
Do not tell anyone in the office about your plans so that there is a low risk of leaks on your plans.
Provide work reference only when you are likely to be offered the post and that you are likely to get a good reference. If you have worked with more than one employer, offer a work reference from other employers if you with them not too long ago.

Set up your interviews for after work or your days off. Don't tell anyone you're looking for a new job.
Explain that you are currently employed and don't want the business contacted. Explain further, if needed.
