Why is the philosophy of man the foundation of moral philosophy?

Philosophy is defined by each philosopher for themselves, therefor the foundation of any philosophy is what that philosopher chooses to make it.

Because philosophy of man is knowing thyself. By knowing thyself, here comes the moral philosophy, which is the basis of how man should act. It is by understanding human that you will know how he should act accordingly.
