Both "Alexander" and "300" movies showed a false picture of Persians, what we did wrong? What's your problem with Persians? Just read some history books and see who was the bad guy. Romans and Greeks were brutal and wild, what you can call "Art", "Love", "Peace" in ancient world, comes from Persian Empire, most of your kings were cruel, do you think that your current position in world will stay forever? No, buddies, it's impossible, there's nothing absolute in this world but God. And when and the day you lost your dominance on the globe, it's Chinese, Japanese, Russians, Indians, etc. who will be eager beaver to revenge, don't forget that you never respect any nation in your movies, no matter "300", "Alexander", "Indiana Jones", or "007", what you all showed in them was "idiot non-Americans", "idiot non-Romans", "idiot non-Greeks".

Yes, I know if holywood knows that it can gain more money from making anti-America movies it will do that without delay, but buddies, holywood's current path is going to hell. Only 1 minute after America's lost his powerful economy, people around the world will start their own books, movies, poems, and etc. "Americans were zombie" , "Did you knew that Americans were drinking blood every morning?", "Wow, who said Americans were pioneer in science?", "American = Corrupted" , "American = Loser" , "American = Timid" , "American = Wild ". Look at we Persians, we did our best to bring peace, happiness, and justice but nowadays nobody knows anything and instead, all people around the world think that Persians are\were worst creatures on this planet. You Americans, be careful about your deeds, you're superpower since about 60 years ago, but we Persians were superpower for 1100 years and now this is what you see, fear from your future, try to make movies, write books, etc based on pure truth

1st. If I said "your kings" I meant Roman kings.
2nd. If I'm saying stop your lies, I wanna say you "after you've lost your economic position, other people will be able to revenge, they will make movies, write books, etc. based on lie and they will show a false picture of America to the world. For God's sake, think a little about your grand grand grand children ! when i.e. China is superpower, and you're a poor country like Iran, think about that !
3rd. I've no idea why you're talking about Islam !? I'm talking about Persians, Persians are originally Zoroastrian, and now there's also huge number of Jewish Persians, Christian Persians, etc.
4th. Did you ever heard the word "advise" ? I guess not, as I'm just advising you (not for youself, at least for your next generations who will suffer from your present opinions about world)

5th. Who gave me moral authority to speak in behalf of three-quarters of the world? , well, when you call Africans "Black", when you call Chinese "Almond Eyed", when you call Indians "pale", when you call mideastern "terrorist" etc, why they don't call you "Wild Westerner" when your grand grand grand children had failed to gain money and keep your civilization as powerful as now ? This's what has happened to Persians, we were really best, but now nobody respects us, don't say me you don't hate Persians, instead you can produce less unreal movies.

YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND MY ENGLISH? so wait for 1000 years and see what will happen to them.
7th. What do you meant? ha? Persians are WHITE. that damn Hitler said a big lie, WE PERSIANS ARE ARYAN, not Germans, they're Nordic.
8th. I know that one movie can't represent a nation; say this to those guys who're counting seconds for attacking you.

I, personally, respect Persians much more than I respect Arabs. I know this shows my butt, so to speak, but please realize that '300' is just a movie. A kick-butt movie that talks about events that happened,. like, 3000 years ago. If you are so sensitive that you can't stand the idea of a movie that, with a comic book, Hollywood action flick, FANTASY way shows how tha ANCIENT Spartans repelled the MOST POWERFUL army in the world at that time, than you are being too sensitive. It was 3000 years ago, they were only 300 men and they did repel the most powerful army in the world (the Persians) by military strategy and pure luck. I understand that ancient history is not what worries you here, but how the great Persian people are portrayed on American cinema, but fear not. Persians and the Irish monks is what kept Europe from becoming utterly barbaric during the Dark Ages and we do remember this. We also remember how harsh Rome was in the Middle East and how very little good it did them. (Well, asides from Bush we remember). You didn't originate the Middle Eastern death cults intent upon global conquest (Christianity and Islam), but are caught up in that stupid pride game as are my own country-men. Persia is one of the great cultures of Earth in my estimation and a movie like the '300', talking about ancient history in a comic book style isn't going to change that.

I will tell you something that bothers me ......the sterio-typing of Americans as if we are all the same person.......America has many different cultures here and beliefs about things its just not fair to assume we are all the same. My husband is not American and he is muslim .....I am American and muslim......One thing I am tired of is getting generalized or discriminated against for being muslim in "my" country or being treated like an outsider by foreign muslims. I personally have never heard anyone here say anything bad about Persian people as a whole and its disturbing that you would think thats what all Americans have done.....you have ignorance or hate everywhere in this world and good people too and its not right or fair to judge people in such a complete way.........ps I bring up Islam because I wanted to let you know that Americans are not all of the same belief system and mindset about the rest of the world and I feel upset at times when I hear people say "you americans" or "all americans" or ask why do americans etc.....

What's with the inferiority complex? Most of the movies you mentioned are based on fiction. If you put so much credence in worldly events and mention God in the next sentence as being "absolute", why are you in such a tither? We will all be held accountable for our actions as individuals, even you. As for your comments about other nationalities who "will be eager beaver to revenge", that is not necessarily true. Who gave you moral authority to speak in behalf of three-quarters of the world? America doesn't hate Persians, and I don't hate you. I would have to know you as an individual, and even then I wouldn't cast judgment on you or your character. I am not God. If portrayals or movies of fiction bother you that much, I would suggest that you stay away from the theatre. In a free society, we can agree to disagree. You also have the freedom of conscience to avoid that which bothers you & tends to give you a hateful spirit.

i don't think of that they do. each and all of the Persian/Iranians I certainly have prevalent or met have been high-quality human beings. One has set up save as a return and forth agent in my section; we've completed organization, and observed the transformations between Farsi and Arabic. Sounds as while you're doing properly, and could have the skill to make some community friends. The strikes of the present Iranian government are, regrettably, yet another remember altogether.

I didn't see alexander but I know the director of '300' is a racist. You should have heard the crap he was spewing on NPR a few weeks ago. As soon as I heard him I knew I wasn't going to see his crap movie.
In the US we have the myth that our society owes something to the greeks especially democracy so greeks become the heros in our movies. We ignore that the Ahenian democracy wasn't a democracy lasted less than 100 years, was replaced by a dictator and that non of the other greek city states were even remotely democratic. Sparta was a brutal and vicious military dictatorship that practiced a kind of homosexual death cult amongst it's warriors. Bet you won't see that in the movie 300.
Alexander was a muderous dictator who stormed through southern europe and asia minor putting to the sword anyone who stood in his way.

I hate it when people generalize to such an extent. Do you believe all Americans hate the Persians? Mostly too it is the information that people have that they go by. Many people are too lazy to read or think for themselves and they depend on the news mostly, sometimes just clips from the TV. But have we ever wondered who brings the news to us and what their agendas might be?. Whether it be a government who wishes to push its views or a conglomerate who wants to sell their newspapers and their books. Look, speak to other people, watch You Tube, think, but for heaven's sake don't just take one source and call it bible.

Even if those movies were accurate depictions of history I don't think any American would be so stupid as to think that Persians 2000-3000 years ago are the same as Persians now. The average American doesn't have feelings one way or the other about Persians. In fiction we tend to identify more with
Greece and Rome since our civilizations can be traced directly back to theirs and they're white like us. So stop being so sensitive.
Upon closer examination I have concluded that you are either crazy or suck at communicating in the English language. Either way it makes it hard to comment.

I'v personally dated a Persian girl. Trust me never do it. They are rude, incompentent and rediculously selfish. And they expect the world. To be honest it is sad. She didn't wanna do jack **** with her life and begged her daddy for a new Audi. Even though she had one. It is pathetic. Oh yeah, and she hacked into my bank account because she was so insecure. Never again will I do that.
