parents never told her. She says she only found out when she went to get her passport and they couldn't find record of her. How can I find out if shes lying. Also she says shes writing songs with a chap she knows. She is 41.

Why does it really matter if her name is Italian or if she's writing any songs? If she's a habitual liar, then she'll eventually hang herself by her own words as one day she will contradict herself and it will become obvious.
Meanwhile if you don't really trust this person, for whatever reason, limit your time and energy with her. It's a total waste of your time to try to play detective for no good reason. Just find a friend you trust better.

Does it matter if she says shes an alien?If u two are friends it shouldnt matter why make a big deal out of it.mid life crisis is my guess
