Customs practices on different societies..?

I have an assignment regarding what customs that were practiced by different societies. For instance, the practice of cutting the vaginal part of the females in Africa in order to declare the female as 'clean'. I have tried surfing the internet but no result came out. I want some customs that most of us wont agree on. Weird customs but true. I need it as soon as possible.

Here's a couple hope they help. Arranged marriages this custom is still used in some Asian cultures. Male superiority where the male makes all the decisions and the female has to obey.
