This is my Mum. She has been to see gnyo who has done smear, scans, blood tests, we are waiting for results - expected to take a week. Any ideas what this could be?

Could be numerous causes.
The first thing that comes to my mind is polycystic ovaries.
You are going to get a mix of answers on here, so I would advise you to hold on for your mums results.
They take a week so the radiologists and pathologists can correctly report on the findings and therefore get a correct diagnosis, so calling up and demanding results earlier will not help. Please be patient and I wish you and your mum all the best.

I would go ahead and call the dr again to let them know about the bleeding to see what they want her to do and find out if the results are in yet unless she just went in yesterday. But pls call the gyn back to let them know what's going on. As for what is going on it's hard to say.
I hope this gets resolved quickly.

must be an abscess, tumor, hernia, insect chew... any sort of issues, extremely. I fantastically doubt it has something to do with the spay. you are able to make an appointment for her superb rapid.

its true, you may hear something youd rather not, my first thought is ovarian cancer, but please wait for the results, as the doctors no best, as they no all the deails and no one on here does, i wish her the best
