One can delay their period for a week or two using the hormone pills only in birth control pills but I would recommend talking to your dr about this to see if it's safe to do.

When necessity warrants then you have to delay the woman period for a week and this normally does not create any problems but the same thing should not be repeated regularly since on long term usage of these medicine adverse effects would result. You can do it safetly no problems. All the best.

They are called birth control pills.
There is actually now a pill that is prescribed to be taken continually for three months before stopping to allow menstruation-some physicians even question the need for those few periods.
