1 when a balloon pops, even the popper gets a start, which causes the brain to signal the release of a bit of adrenalin. Thus a sort of natural high.

2 Even us old fogies are adrenalin junkies! ; p

3 all though it is a blast at birthday parties a responsible party thrower will make certain all the blow outs are properly picked up as most bday parties involve little kids and babies that have a tendency to swallow the balloons. Think about it the adults that were blowing them up were putting them in their mouths, why can't I?If you have never pulled a balloon out of a babies butt trust me when I say it is an experience you truly want to live without!

because it is exciting, and it scares the dogs, they get this cute little dont hurt me i am sorry look on there face..........
