not rivets m5 style clip that clamps betweeen sheet metalsomewhere like b and q or home base(althought they dont sell them)

I think you mean 'Nutserts' (spelling). Have you got a Machine Mart or Screwfix near you. If not, you will probably be able to get them at a good motor factors. You will need a special tool to fit them which means it will be a bit expensive for fitting just two.


P.S. Just got in from a bit 'potter' in my workshop, and realised you may mean flanged nuts that fit into a folded and slotted metal sheet, but not to worry, these too are readily available at the sources I have mentioned. Plus you will need only a screwdriver (to open the fold), and a hammer (to secure the nut)
