Yes. It happened to me and my partner. You need to go to a doctor pretty quick.

I got pregnant with the Mirena IUD. I had the same symptoms as you and I'm usually like clockwork with my time of the month, so the day after I was supposed to get my period, I got a positive pregnancy test. I went to my doctor that day and he removed the IUD. He said it's not safe to keep it in (although there have been instances where it is left in), but to keep in mind that there's a 25% of miscarriage if it's removed. I chose to have mine removed, and things are right on track (16 weeks). If you think you may be pregnant, it's best to go to your doctor right away. Good luck.

I am going through the same thing right now. I have the mirena IUD. I have pregnancy symptoms, but still have - hpt. Also, I haven't been able to feel my strings in over a year, almost time for my yearly check though. I am going to the dr. this week to get it checked out. You might want to also, just to be safe.

yes it is possible. the IUD doesn't stop the body from releasing the egg or the egg being fertilized. it stops the egg from implanting(most of the time) thus it is an abortificiant. you have a high risk of a tubal pregnancy if you get pregnant with an iud in place, also of having a misscarriage
