I've contacted orange to request a PAC which they said I will be sent within 2/3 days. I friend has told me I might be charged for the PAC, is this true? I'm out of contract and decided to change providers because they wouldn't give me the same deal or better as a new customer although I've been with them for over 6 years!

I have requested my PAC code 3 times over the past 6 years and never once have I been charged.

Don't let them charge you!

You shouldn't be charged for your PAK code - although who knows with Orange! Usually providers charge for buying out remainders of contracts. My sis is leaving orange and was gonna be charged over 300 quid for the remainder of her contract - so she has reduced it to minimum, taken off all extras and in a month it will cost her about 130 quid to buy out.
Orange should have told you when you requested your PAK if it was going to charge you.
Hope this helps

If your are out of commitment with Orange then there will be no charge for the PAC, the only reason you get charged is if you are in commitment and you have to pay the line rental to the end of your commitment term.

a PUC code is free. they will charge you if you are leaving them as a service provider, so say you will stay with them to get the code and then just dont sign up.
