I could not agree more, if they are not prepared to use British resources then they should not be allowed to display.
Unfortunatly every product used by the royal family has the right to display the crest, If they are going to use foreign made products then they should at least use Fair Trade Items, those at least could benefit from the purchases.

No **** SHerlock. Yes they can keep it if its made in China as long as the quality holds. Foreign companies can have them too.

As for the the fellow Yank, We are basically China to the Europeans. We have cheaper wages, poor benefits and our factories produce products in expense to the Environment. Europe has been outsourcing jobs to us for a very long time and we are reducing the wages and causing unemployment in Europe for ages. Look what we did to Aerobus. They are steaming mad that American low wages are forcing them to work 40 hour work week with the same pay. Heck we might force them to cut there vacation to a month.

It means the company is appointed to supply the Queen. If it was a tea company would they have to grow the tea in England or a champagne company grow the grapes and produce the wine in UK?.Its about quality not country of production.

When you say it like that, you make a strong point.
However, the royal family wants UK-owned businesses based in China to have an edge over German-owned ones & US-Chinese joint ventures there, so they do what they can to enhance their brand value.

mind you when the president Jiang came to Britain on a state visit , he and his officials were invited to stay as guests of honour in Buckingham Palace during the entire period of his visit . Publicly and privately the queen and the Chinese president enjoyed each other's company very much , so I am not surprised by this "By appointment" arrangement.Tell me when was the last time a British national was invited to stay overnights in Buchingham Palace , please don't tell me Michael Fagan , the famous intruder.

It is not right. The Royal Family should boycott anything made in a Chinese sweatshop. I refuse to buy Chinese made products even if it is cheaper. Most of it is junk anyway. I urge everyone to do the same. You can make a difference.

i agree entirely, this makes the queen look like an economic traitor against british working people and loyal british companies that dont destroy the economy of their own people in favour of cheap labour slaves abroad, this should be seen as what it is an act of treason.

'by appointment' means the goods are top quality and have been supplied to the royal household, I do not think there is any reference to where they are made
