Basically, it means affected you...So it basically means...The latest episode between you and Miss Thing has affected you/gotten to you/struck a nerve...

To tap into something is to connect to it.
you can tap into a phone, a keg of beer, there's a spinal tap, or in this case the episode with "you and miss thing" has tapped into a conversation or event the speaker is reffering to.
