Tommorrow is my grade 5 violin exam. I'm with Trinity-Guildhall, which is pretty new (Trinity and Guildhall just joined together). I think the examiners will be new to the system too, but I don't know. I'm really worried because I still can't remember some of my scales. Help me! I'm really scared I'll go in there and make a fool of myself. I've passed all my other exams and I got a merit on grade 2, but this time I seem to have practised less and I'm really worried. I'd appreciate any tips. Thanks!! x

practice, and relax, and do your best. Your best is all you can do. If you make a mistake, ignore it. Don't stop and start over in the middle of the song, that is more notice able. If you make a mistake keep on going as if you didn't and chances are they will over look it.
Hope it goes well for you.

Quit playing the violin or play it for your own enjoyment. If you don't pass the examine smash your violin over your music stand, spit on the splintered pieces of the instrument and storm out of the room. Then go home after school and tell your overbearing (possibly Asian?) parents that you dropped your violin and a car ran over it. Then tell them it would probably be in your best interests to focus on your studies because there is almost no chance that you will make any money playing the violin and that is all that matters to you. Then start playing the drums, an instrument that you will never be tested on.

Take deep breaths, practice hard tonight, and do your best.
I did my Grade 8 Piano, and Organ when I was full of flu.
I still managed to get 135 on piano, and 138 on organ.
