bmw wont do it my local garage wants 20 quid car is only worth 500 quid i just need it so when to service it again not to flogg on as a full serviced its my project car(Ganster Black)

I assume it's that 5 or so LED thing that starts green then goes yellow and finally turns red...
The tool is not cheap in cost and it's a silly POS made out of likely some 20 cent Radio Shack parts, but I bought one because I have two E30's and it works really good.

Note that on this list, the FIRST item is the one I have.
The 2nd and 3rd tools are fancier versions, the rest should be adapters, you might look through all of them to be sure.

The upfront purchase hurts, but once you have it, you're good as gold.

Try Euro Car Parts, I had one which reset all the service & oil / annual lights on my 3 & 5 series. Cost about £30.

if you go to a local garage a lot of these mechanics heve purchased the tool to reset the lights, try to find someone who specialises in bmws and you might have to pay him probably 20 or 30 quid, what area are you from i might know someone in your area who can help. i used to be a mechanic

You can buy the reset tool off ebay for around £15. I've got a draper one and it works fine.

i had the same problem with my c2 go on ebay i brought the info cost me 3.00 it works my info only applies to c2 cars so i cant give you my info hope you have luck
