Seriously, I don't like speedos, so I don't wear them. But why would I care if other people wear them? If I had an issue with looking at people wearing speedos, I would stay away from the swimming pool, that's for sure!
Isn't the most important thing that anybody is comfortable with his own style, and his own choice of swimwear?
Be it speedos, trunks, boardshorts, 3/4, shirts, bikinis, one-piece, anything. It's a personal choice. Isn't it?

I agree, it's a personal and sometimes professional choice. I also agree with the comments from "Georgia Peach" If your a swimmer, either competitive or just to stay in GOOD shape, the swimsuit (Speedo) is the suit of choice.. I am not a gambler, but I'll bet that the people that say negative things about Bikini's or Speedo's etc, just don't have either the body shape or what it takes. (so to speak) to wear them. When our swim team practices or in swim meets, all swimmers (male) wear the bikini style speedo, tyr, arena etc, our coach (Patty) just got our team the new SKINZ style swimwear, they are tiny but our swim times have improved dramatically. Even when we Lifeguard, we wear them, they are comfortable, and most importantly, I am comfortable.
Great Question, and I hope this will eliminate future responses from people who obviously are jealous that they are not able to wear REAL SWIMWEAR.

Dude speedos are gross especially when your fat. My personal opinion if you like them fine then wear them.
Why would you even need to ask this question you obviously know the answer.
The problem is people are to concerned about other people and generally it's because they aren't comfortable with themselves. People just need to mind their own business.
It's a personal choice, it's not like choosing between killing the baby or not. I mean seriously people - it's a swimsuit.

It goes back to the "when in Rome" comment. There are places that it is not as acceptable and others where it is more.
I personally believe that speedos are for competitive swimming...its not that there is anything wrong with them (I wore them for 8 years of competitive swimming)
My bigger beef is people knowing that they have disgusting bodies and not wearing them when they are grossly obese

Some people just have to be negative no matter what. Swimwear leaves very little else to comment on, so they will be negative about that.

Your right, I too don't bother wearing anything, just something that will embarass me...
it's people's choice
like
Bikini because theyre "attractive" (sorta)
Trunks because they are comfortable to the people thats not so... Revealing, like me
Shirts and Trunks (obviously) becaause it protects some sunlight from making your skin browny

its personal choice but since a lot of people are already criticizing people, its hard for them to stop peer pressure

Personal choice is a violation of Christian Taliban beliefs. If you offend them in any way, they try to have you banned.
