My problem is that I'm a smiley person, i went to a new job, but my problem is that they don't take me seriously as i look a lot younger than my age and because i'm always smiling!! sounds weird right? they love my smile but in the end I know that i've to show them that serious face, but i can't, it's my nature!!

It's through proving your existence. Anywhere, anytime and in any situation - you prove your existence and you'll be taken seriously.

You must be an extremely beautiful person.
I believe that you might be in the wrong profession/job - if you're always smiling & happy (are you?), perhaps you could consider jobs in services, sales, or something else where you have a lot of outside people contact. A competitive, office job environment where you see the same people every day may not be right for you. Your constantly smiling, friendly, good nature may not be appropriate for a "serious" company, but it's most definitely an extremely strong asset in many other fields and jobs.

Seriously? No need to change. I think some are like you because of genetics. To be honest, don't wish for a serious side. Wow. Life will come and serious is as serious does. But you know what? Even in your serious times, you will still be the same. Smiling, because that's just your nature.

Your calling is teaching. So many people need to learn how to smile. And those of us who smile a lot, I believe, try very hard in their jobs. Therefore the only other factor I can think of is, are you speaking with knowledge and are you listening to what's being said? Nail those down, and soon you will be in the leadership position and everyone will smile, too

u have to watch ur slef more ur smile is not the problem - i do smile all the time but people think i am nice and strong. check again what r u saying or donig again u will find the real reason - good luck.
it is good that u look unger than ur real age ;)

You dont have to change your facial expression to be taken seriously. Give it a little time to settle in, know your boundaries and make sure others keep them (in short, dont let people push you around within reason) and people will learn to take you seriously.
People often dont know whether to take me seriously or not too, I tell them "I'm always joking and I'm always serious", that keeps them on their toes.

smiling all time wont help it, why dont you start meditation and relax may be tht would help , dont get stresses if they take you lightly ,
after job is job you got adjust
