I am totally against Bush but mostly because I have gone way too far into the 9/11 conspiracies to ever believe i'll think of him as good in a rational mind again.
And, asker person, you're right there is very strong anti-bush tones down here, but that is sadly because there is a socialist wave coming over... It's not pretty..
As far as Howard supporting Bush and the war in Iraq, I am very against but I know it has to be done, because Australia is totally dependant safety-wise on the protection of America. Howard could possible pull out of his military commitments if USA was under rule of a different president, but Bush is both stupid, rash, and powerful, to the point where Howard probably knows what a bad idea it is to pull out. "If you're not with America, you're with the terrorists." Just a nice little quote I got from Bush today in a doco about David Hicks.
But yeah.. one rant later, Bush is very unpopular now in nearly all parts of the world. (And goddam it, if Liberal lose this year i'm going to cry)

As others have answered, hes quite unpopular. I think that your country is wise to reinvest in a new government. I think that the entire free world is responsible for this tyrant. I just cant wait for the next few months to see the catastrophic mistake that we made. We are headed towards the last world war. This man is the newly self-appointed Messiah, and our own apathy ushered in our demise.

I will not pretend to speak for all Americans as some of my Leftist friends here but I support Bush. Has he done a perfect job? No, but no president ever has, certainly not their precious god "Bill Clinton". Bush has made mistakes but I believe he is doing what he believes is right for America as a whole.

Last I heard, his approval rating was hovering around 30%, so about 70% of us Americans disapprove of the job he's doing.
