Scientists can do amazing things today, by getting some prehistoric DNA, they could bring dragons back to life!

But would it be the right thing to do ethically?

Definitely, Dragons are one of the most powerful beings in history, if we could keep one chained up it could produce enough energy to power a small city. you would only have to feed it a few virgins every month to keep it going.

Clone a dragon? That has been done. I am married to the result. Unhappily for me they disguised the dragon as a cute red head. The disguised part is the part I find totally lacking in ethics.

I like the idea of having a pet dragon.

I just don't know whether they would like the idea of me treating them like a horse, or a ride at the circus.

I would like to know whether, or not, a dragon would find me a tasty morsel before I reanimated one.

I find cloning anything today is still in need of a few practices with sheep, cows, cats, or dogs to make sure we know what we are doing before we start cloning other exotic creations.

I feel for people who have lost loved ones unexpectedly and I know their grief is horrid, but I still think we should give the dead their space until we have a real good hand at cloning. Margin of error is 00.001 before we splice life back into a void of our lost love. You never know if a human clone would even have their memory of their life before they died.

It's a scary thought giving life to a full grown human that thrashes around like a baby and knocks your lights out before it even learns how to eat by itself.

muhahahaha absolutely, dinasours too, hell anything we can get our hands on. What does ethics have to do with it. We are not creating anything, for the most part don't even have the first clue about creatiion. Just using a blueprint created by god to bring some of god's great creations back to earth.

There were never any dragons, so you can't clone them. Pick an animal that actually existed for your ethical questions.

yes and no...no we should not play god. but on the other hand if we did kill them off maybe we have a debt to repay.
and we would not have the exact dragon that you think of first they might-or might breath fire breath fire or could not have functional wings or some thing like that.

oh! and we would not need to clone them if we can splice together to make them
GOOD QUESTION

I cannot think of one single thing that would be unethical about bringing a "dragon" or anything else back to life. Understanding, you would not be bringing that individual back to life, but an identical twin to that indivdual.

Ooops! There is one thing it might be unethical to bring back to life - small pox.

First they would have to prove that dragons really existed....... not the small ones that walk on the ground but the giant ones in fantasy stories that fly.....
