To me it means not so much him, personally, but what he represents. i.e., love. You have omitted to provide information about your present situation in your love life, which would have been a big help, but if you are in a relationship currently, I would say your subconscious mind is telling you that love is lacking in it, or if not, to start searching for a suitable life partner.

The most scientific studies regarding dreams and their meanings have concluded that dreams don't mean anything. Best guess is that they are something the brain does to check whether you're ready to wake up.

You'll most likely stop having the dreams when they no longer hold any interest for you. We have many dreams, but only a few that we remember and carry into conscious thought.

Try this - light a candle, put on some soothing music, take a pen and write a long letter to your first love. Tell him everything in your heart, everything that's on your mind, everything that's left unsaid. Then you can burn the letter, keep it, mail it, or even give it to your new love. Dollars to doughnuts, the dreams will end.

Ex-Boyfriend

To dream that your ex-boyfriend is giving you advice about your current relationship, suggests that you unconscious is telling you not to repeat the same mistakes that you had made with this ex-boyfriend.

To dream that you are being massaged by your ex-boyfriend, suggests that you need to let go of some of that defensiveness that you have been putting forth. You may have been putting up a wall or armor around you. You need to learn to trust people again.

This is not to imply that you want you ex-boyfriend back. Alternatively, the dream could represent some immature relationship which may (or may not) describe the relationship you had with your ex.

I think it means secretly you have not found anyone else like him. So that's why you "keep him" in your dreams.

In your dreams think in your heart that you've already found someone else. Then when you see him tell him that you will let him go to find his true love. For you know that he really does not love you.

You are the maker of your dreams. Change them and good luck. May both your dreams and your life come true.
