Anyone know of an exercise routine that prepares ones heels for the strenous task of 3+ inch high heels. I'd like to start wearing heels this high more regularly now, but not without preparation.

What you can do, It wear them around the house... Sorta Break them in and get used to it. YOu will be alot more confident if you wear them in the house before going out. Try 10 minutes, then go to 20,40,60 and so on.. Soon youll be a pro!

Well, I don't really think you need any particular training from anybody. My gf used to hate high heels for years. Recently, though she started liking them. She just bought a pair and started wearing them at home and after a couple of days she managed to hav enough confidence to get out. Now, she is an expert and we walk hand in hand together.

She loves the experience, so do I.

All the best!/

There's a TON of information at www.hhplace.org about foot and ankle training for heels. There are also some great links you can ffollow as well. Another GREAT resource is http://members3.boardhost.com/jennyheels/?982958163

There's a section there specifically related to training and wearing/walking in heels.

I would suppose any calf building exercise would work. Try toe ups. If that is not strenuous enough, get a big rubber band, loop one end around your foot, and hold the other end. then try to move your foot back and forth (away from your body, not side to side)
