there were 9! then it became 8 cause pluto is no more a planet!

8, Because even though, All through school we were taught that we actually had 9 planets in our solar system. And here when we are out of school and don't have to take tests anymore, they go and change history. Pluto is now not considered a Planet.

8 as we know from Mercury to Neptune. Pluto's no more a planet that's WHY...
Newly discovered planets included Ceres (previously considered asteroid), UB 313 and Sedna.

Quaoar is not a planet in our solar system. It was discovered some 30000 light years away from earth. So that makes it 11.

this keeps changing as the 'they' keep changing the definition of what a planet is. there current decision is 8 - Pluto is no longer classified as a plannet.
A planet is any body in orbit around the Sun that a) has enough mass to form itself into a spherical shape and b) has cleared its immediate neighborhood of all smaller objects. There eight known planets are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
