The previous answers (except the one about the Indonesian bride) are full of crap.
Many men have met and fallen in love with Russian women and built happy homes and families. But there is no such thing as a "mail order bride". There are no "catalogues" that you place an order from and a woman shows up 6-10 days later. Meeting and falling in love with a Russian woman is a long (and expensive) process that involves a lot of electronic communication and letter writing, in addition to several visits to Russia on your part. You must establish a long-term loving relationship BEFORE you begin the torturous process of acquiring a US visa for her.

i dont know about russians ,but i had a good friend in north carolina that married a mail order bride from indonesia. they now have 3 children!!

actually a friend of mine married a woman from Russia. They have a beautiful son and are happy together after 7 years. It does happen and can be great.
