tourism if handled properly and mananged so that you have a limited flow of people entering a country does not erode a society. this is happening with mount everest... too many people going to it that the locals are being bombarded and literally forced to become modernized throwing away their tradition.

IF tourism is properly managed you'll get a sustainable economy where you keep keep the locals and guests happy without drastic changes. if you allow more guests to run a host country, then you'll have trouble. you need a very fine balance with tourism.

I must emphasize "limited" flow of people to keep the locals and guests happy.
